SHAME, TO BE BLAMED!

SHAME, TO BE BLAMED!

Indian women are selectively sensitive to the needs of their family, households, loved ones at the cost of their own health needs. Cervical cancer is most common in India, currently featuring as 2nd largest among Indian females. It has a tendency to remain in a pre-malignant state (state before it develops into cancer) for a long duration, therefore, may not produce early or produce non-specific symptoms.

What makes it even more critical is the tendency of woman to ignore those despite presentation because of the utter shame. Such a shame of not being outspoken about issues or symptoms of their intimate parts makes way for cervical cancer. Often those complaints die as Whispers before they reach their doctors aloud.

We at Mumbai Oncocare Center, appeal them to turn such whispers aloud and prevail over Cervical Cancer.

Commonly encountered symptoms are,

  • Abnormal vaginal bleeding: Bleeding and spotting between periods, unusually longer or heavier
    periods, bleeding after menopause
  • Unusual or excessive vaginal discharge with foul smell
  • Vaginal bleeding after having sexual intercourse
  • Pain in the lower abdomen or pelvic pain
  • Pain during sexual intercourse

The presence of these signs and symptoms does not imply that you are suffering from cancer. However, if you have one or more of these, it is advisable to consult your doctor.
